Saudi Gazette report

RIYADH —  Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdulaziz Al-Asheikh warned on Tuesday the youths against cyber war being waged by unscrupulous people.

“Those behind these sites are attempting to inject poison into the ranks of Muslims by exploiting all means that are harmful to the Muslim Ummah,” he said while opening the forum titled “Cyber terror: dangers and the ways to combat it,” organized by Imam Muhammad Bin Saud Islamic University of Riyadh.

The Grand Mufti urged young Saudi men and women to be wary of the ways and methods employed by those behind these sites to lure them and mislead them. “A large number of young Muslims have gone astray due to these sites which mislead and spread enmity and hatred among members of the Muslim Ummah,” he said.

Addressing the forum, Suleiman Abal Khail, president of the university, emphasized the need for taking utmost vigil against the trap of terrorism, mainly on the Internet.
