We are living at a time where the Fitan is too much & the Muslims are being looked down as if we are the problem makers & extremists ! Allah's help is sought.
But its NOT permissible for a Muslim to deviate from the Right (middle) path due to the extremists & complainers. We follow the best of guidance to our utmost capacity in all times inshaAllah.
Since Christmas is approaching nearby & there might be people around us greeting us & presenting gifts etc...
So here are some ways you could politely refuse their gifts in this occasion (With kind words & Noble manners ) & invite them to the TRUE Montheistic Religion :-
When your christian niehgbour/ co-worker wishes you "Merry Christmas" You could reply :
I'm sorry, We (Muslims) dont celebrate our prophet's birthday Nor any birthdays.
BY NOT CELEBRATING MAWLID we Obeyed our messenger صلى الله عليه و سلم Who said :
"
Do not praise me as the Christians praised the son of Mary (i.e. Jesus), I am just His Slave; therefore, refer to me as the Slave of Allah and His Messenger.
..."And BY you'll celebrating christmas YOU DISOBEYED 'Eesa عليه السلام , Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم & Allah the Mighty & the Majestic.
Rather you disbelieved in ALL the messengers !
Please give me sometime & listen to what Jesus ('Eesa عليه السلام ) said ...
﴿وَإِذْ قَالَ
اللَّهُ يعِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ أَءَنتَ قُلتَ لِلنَّاسِ اتَّخِذُونِى وَأُمِّىَ
إِلَـهَيْنِ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ قَالَ سُبْحَـنَكَ مَا يَكُونُ لِى أَنْ أَقُولَ مَا
لَيْسَ لِى بِحَقٍّ إِن كُنتُ قُلْتُهُ فَقَدْ عَلِمْتَهُ تَعْلَمُ مَا فِى نَفْسِى
وَلاَ أَعْلَمُ مَا فِى نَفْسِكَ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ عَلَّـمُ الْغُيُوبِ - مَا قُلْتُ
لَهُمْ إِلاَّ مَآ أَمَرْتَنِى بِهِ أَنِ اعْبُدُواْ اللَّهَ رَبِّى وَرَبَّكُمْ
وَكُنتُ عَلَيْهِمْ شَهِيداً مَّا دُمْتُ فِيهِمْ فَلَمَّا تَوَفَّيْتَنِى كُنتَ
أَنتَ الرَّقِيبَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَأَنتَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ شَهِيدٌ - إِن
تُعَذِّبْهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ عِبَادُكَ وَإِن تَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ فَإِنَّكَ أَنتَ
الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ ﴾
(116. And (remember) when Allah will say (on the Day of Resurrection): "O
`Isa, son of Maryam! Did you say unto men: `Worship me and my mother as two gods
besides Allah''' He will say: "Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I
had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, You would surely have known it.
You know what is in my inner self though I do not know what is in Yours, truly,
You, only You, are the Knower of all that is hidden and unseen.'') (117. "Never
did I say to them ought except what You (Allah) did command me to say: `Worship
Allah, my Lord and your Lord.' And I was a witness over them while I dwelled
amongst them, but when You took me ﴿up﴾, You were the Watcher over them, and You
are a Witness to all things.'') (118. "If You punish them, they are Your
servants, and if You forgive them, verily You, only You are the Almighty, the
All-Wise.'')Surat alMaaida.
وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ رَبِّى وَرَبُّكُمْ فَاعْبُدُوهُ هَـذَا صِرَطٌ مُّسْتَقِيمٌ - فَاخْتَلَفَ الاٌّحْزَابُ مِن بَيْنِهِمْ فَوْيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِن مَّشْهِدِ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ ﴾
36. (Iesa
(Jesus) said): "And verily Allah is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him
(Alone). That
is the Straight
Path. (Allahs Religion of Islamic Monotheism which He did ordain for all of His
Prophets)."

بِمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مِن رَّبِّهِ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ كُلٌّ ءَامَنَ بِاللَّهِ
وَمَلَـئِكَتِهِ وَكُتُبِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ لاَ نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِّن رُّسُلِهِ

(The Messenger believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and
(so do)the believers. Each one believes in Allah, His Angels, His Books, and His
Messengers. (They say,) "We make no distinction between one another of His
Messengers ـ and they say, "We hear, and we obey. (We seek) Your forgiveness,
our Lord, and to You is the return (of all).'')Suratul Baqarah.

{ وَإِذَا حُشِرَ النَّاسُ كَانُوا لَهُمْ أَعْدَاءا }
هذا النَّبي الذي تدعوه يصبح عدوَّك ، و هذا الولي الذي تدعوه يصبح عدوَّك ، و هذا المَلَك الذي تدعوه يصبح عدوَّك ! و هذا الصَّديق يصبح عدوَّك ! ، و يتبرأ من هذا الشِّرك الذي وقعت فيه .
هذه العبادة التي تقدَّمتَ بها ظلمًا و عدوانًا هو نفسه لا يرضاها ولا يقبلها { وَإِذَا حُشِرَ النَّاسُ كَانُوا لَهُمْ أَعْدَاء وَكَانُوا بِعِبَادَتِهِمْ كَافِرِينَ} فسمَّاها عبادة، و الكفران هو الجحود ،
يقول: إنَّني ما أمرتك أن تعبدني ، و لا أردت منك هذا الأمر ، بل كنت أُحَذِّركَ و أُنذِرُكَ أنت و أمثالَك من دعائي و دعاء غيري من مخلوقات الله ـ تبارك وتعالى ـ مهما علا شأنهم من الأنبياء و الملائكة و غيرهم .
