Wasiyyatu Imam Ibn Baaz for Muslim minorities

ووصيتي لإخواني المسلمين في الأقليات الإسلامية وفي كل مكان أن يتقوا الله وأن يتفقهوا في دينهم، ويسألوا أهل العلم عما أشكل، وأن يحرصوا على تعلم اللغة العربية ليستعينوا بها على فهم كتاب الله عز وجل وسنة نبيه صلى الله عليه وسلم، وأول ذلك الاهتمام بكتاب الله فهما وعملا، كما جاء في الحديث الصحيح ((خيركم من تعلم القرآن وعلمه))، ثم قراءة كتب الحديث الموثوقة المعتبرة، وغيرها من كتب الفقه والعقيدة المعتمدة عند أهل السنة والجماعة، وأن يتلقوا كل ذلك على أيدي علماء معروفين بالصلاح والتقوى وحسن العقيدة، والعلم الصحيح.

وعلى الإخوة العلماء في المجتمعات ذات الأقلية المسلمة أن ينشطوا في مجال الدعوة إلى الله بين إخوانهم وغيرهم، ولهم الأجر والثواب من الله سبحانه وتعالى.

وهذا العمل من أجلِّ الأعمال وأعظمها كما تقدم في قوله تعالى: وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ قَوْلًا مِمَّنْ دَعَا إِلَى اللَّهِ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا وَقَالَ إِنَّنِي مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ[16]، ثم بعد ذلك يجب عليهم تبليغ هذا الدين إلى من حولهم من الأمم الأخرى؛ لأنه دين الإسلام للناس كافة، قال تعالى: قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلَيْكُمْ جَمِيعًا[17].

وهذه المجتمعات بأشد الحاجة إلى هذا الدين، والداعي إلى الله يحصل له الأجر العظيم إذا كان سبباً في هداية هؤلاء وإرشادهم لما خفي عليهم من أمور دين الإسلام؛ كما تقدم في قول النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم لعلي بن أبي طالب: ((فوالله لأن يهدي الله بك رجلاً واحداً خير لك من حمر النعم)).

فبهذه الدعوة يدخل في دين الله دين الإسلام إن شاء الله أفواج، ويقل عدد الكفار، فتصبح الغلبة إن شاء الله تعالى للمسلمين، وإن لم يتمكن المسلم في تلك البلاد من الدعوة فعليه أن يلتزم بدينه وأن يتخلق بالأخلاق والآداب 

الإسلامية؛ لأنها دعوة بالفعل، ولأنها محببة لذوي الI

عقول الصحيحة، فيتأثر الناس غالباً بهذه الصفات الحميدة، ولقد دخل الإسلام إلى بعض جنوب شرق آسيا بأخلاق التجار من الأمانة والصدق في المعاملة.

ومتى عجز المسلم عن إظهار دينه في بلد إقامته بحيث لا يأمن على دينه وعرضه وماله، فإنه يجب عليه الهجرة إلى بلاد آمنة يستطيع فيها أن يؤدي شعائر دينه بأمن وراحة بال إذا استطاع ذلك؛ عملاً بالآيات والأحاديث الواردة في ذلك.

ولا يفوتني أن أشكر للقائمين على هذه الندوة جهودهم الطيبة في خدمة الإسلام والمسلمين.

نسأل الله لنا ولهم ولجميع المشاركين في هذا المؤتمر التوفيق والسداد وصلاح النية والعمل إنه جواد كريم، وصلى الله وسلم على نبينا وسيدنا محمد بن عبد الله وعلى آله وأصحابه وأتباعه بإحسان إلى يوم الدين.

i advise Muslim minority communities everywhere to have Taqwa, understand deeply their Din, ask Muslim scholars about what they find difficult, and seek to learn Arabic to help them understand the Qur’an and the Sunnah. First and foremost is to devote their attention to the Qur’an and understand it and act according to it, as taught by the following Hadith Sahih: "The best among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Qur’an

and teach it." After this, they should read the reliable books of Hadith, Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and ‘Aqidah (creed) that are authorized by Ahl-ul-Sunnah wal-Jama‘ah (those adhering to the Sunnah and the Muslim main body). They should acquire this knowledge at the hands of scholars who are known for their righteousness, Taqwa, good ‘Aqidah, and correct knowledge.

Scholars in Muslim minority communities are required to be active in the field of Da‘wah and explaining Islam to their fellow Muslims and others, as this they will be rewarded for this by Allah (Glorified and Exalted be He).

Da‘wah is one of the greatest and best deeds as stated in the following Ayah (Qur’anic verse): And who is better in speech than he who [says: "My Lord is Allâh (believes in His Oneness)," and then stands firm (acts upon His Order), and] invites (men) to Allâh’s (Islâmic Monotheism), and does righteous deeds, and says: "I am one of the Muslims." After this comes the duty of conveying this Din to their neighboring countries, because Islam was revealed for all mankind. Allah (Exalted be He) says: Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "O mankind! Verily, I am sent to you all as the Messenger of Allâh

These communities are in dire need of Islam and the Du‘ah will receive great rewards if they become the reason for guiding people and informing them of religious matters which may unknown to them. As the Prophet (peace be upon him) advised ‘Aly ibn Abu Talib, saying, “By Allah! If Allah guides one man through you it is better for you than red camels.”

By engaging in Da‘wah, a multitude of people will embrace Islam and consequently the number of Kafirs (non-Muslims) will decrease and they will be overcome - In sha’a-Allah (if Allah wills).

If Muslims living in non-Muslim countries cannot engage in Da‘wah, they should at least adhere to their Din and show Islamic manners and etiquettes, as this is actually Da‘wah and is appreciated by sane people, who are usually affected by virtuous qualities. In fact, Islam spread in some countries of Southeast Asia because of the good morals of the Muslim traders and their honesty in their dealings.

If muslims are not able to reveal their Din in their country of residence where they feel vulnerable in their religious commitment, their honor, or their property, it is obligatory on them to undertake Hijrah (a believer’s migration to an Islamic land) to safe countries where they can perform the rites of their Din peacefully and safely if they are able, in accordance with the Ayahs and Hadith related in regard to this issue.
