Balancing time for seeking ilm - sisters section إمام مقبل رحمه الله

How can a female student balance between seeking knowledge and performing chores?
By Shaykh Muqbil bin Haadee al-Waadi’ee may Allah have mercy on him
Question: A female student of knowledge studies in the masjid and when she returns home she takes out time to review what she has learnt. However, she knows that there are a lot of chores waiting for her at home and she has to help her mother. All of these chores takes up a lot of her time from seeking knowledge.
Seeking knowledge requires to immerse oneself completely within, but when she attends to her chores it takes up most of her time from studying knowledge. How can she balance between her chores and spending time seeking knowledge?
Answer: If she is able to avoid actions pertaining to worldly affairs then she should do so (to the best of her ability), and I advise her with this. However, if she is not able to avoid these chores then she has to arrange her time appropriately. She has to adjust the biggest portion of her time towards seeking knowledge and another portion to attend to her worldly affairs.
None will be able to obtain beneficial knowledge until their worldly affairs come after (seeking) knowledge. As for if one gives preference to their worldly affairs over seeking knowledge, then (this person) will not attain knowledge – and Allah’s aid is sought.
