Tawheed is the foundation of Eemaan

Shaykh ul-Islaam Ibn Taymeeyah said:
إن التوحيد أصل الإيمان،وهو الكلام الفارق بين أهل الجنة وأهل النار،وهو ثمن الجنة،ولايصح إسلام أحد إلاّبه
‘Indeed Tawheed is the foundation of Eemaan. It is the speech which separates the people of Paradise from the people of the Hellfire. It is the price for Paradise. No one’s Islaam is correct without Tawheed.’

 التوحيد أصل الإيمان
‏قال شيخ الإسلام ابن تيمية:
وأيضاً فإن التوحيد أصل الإيمان،وهو الكلام الفارق بين أهل الجنة وأهل النار،وهو ثمن الجنة،ولايصح إسلام أحد إلاّبه

From the fruits of Tawheed Is Tranquility of the heart & strength of Certainty
Shaykh ul Islam Ibn Taymeeya – Rahimahullaah – said:
‘Every time Tawheed is strengthened in the heart of the slave of Allaah his Eemaan is also strengthened and likewise his tranquility, his reliance upon Allaah and his certainty. As for fear which occurs in the hearts of the people then that is Shirk which is in their hearts!
Allah ta’ala said :
سَنُلْقِي فِي قُلُوبِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا الرُّعْبَ بِمَا أَشْرَكُوا بِاللَّهِ
<<We shall cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve, because they joined others in worship with Allaah>>[3:151]

من ثمرات التوحيد: طمأنينة القلب وقوة اليقين
قال شيخ الإسلام ابن تيمية رحمه الله:
(ﻭﻛﻠﻤﺎ ﻗﻮﻱ اﻟﺘﻮﺣﻴﺪ ﻓﻲ ﻗﻠﺐ اﻟﻌﺒﺪ ﻗﻮﻱ ﺇﻳﻤﺎﻧﻪ ﻭﻃﻤﺄﻧﻴﻨﺘﻪ ﻭﺗﻮﻛﻠﻪ ﻭﻳﻘﻴﻨﻪ؛
والخوف اﻟﺬﻱ ﻳﺤﺼﻞ ﻓﻲ ﻗﻠﻮﺏ اﻟﻨﺎﺱ ﻫﻮ اﻟﺸﺮﻙ اﻟﺬﻱ ﻓﻲ ﻗﻠﻮﺑﻬﻢ! ﻗﺎﻝ اﻟﻠﻪ ﺗﻌﺎﻟﻰ: ﺳﻨﻠﻘﻲ ﻓﻲ ﻗﻠﻮﺏ اﻟﺬﻳﻦ كفروا اﻟﺮﻋﺐ ﺑﻤﺎ أشركوا ﺑﺎﻟﻠﻪ)

Hardships lead to Tawheed
Shaykh ul-Islaam Ibn Taymeeyah Rahimahullaah said:
من تمام نعمة الله على عباده المؤمنين أن ينزل بهم الشدة والضر وما يلجئهم إلى توحيده فيدعونه مخلصين له الدين.
‘From the complete blessings of Allaah upon His believing worshippers is that He afflicts them with hardship, harm and that which will cause them to seek refuge and turn to Allaah’s Tawheed, so that they make Dua to Him and Sincerely make the Deen for Him.’

‏ابن تيمية :
من تمام نعمة الله على عباده المؤمنين أن ينزل بهم الشدة والضر
وما يلجئهم إلى توحيده فيدعونه مخلصين له الدين.

Tawheed  Expiates Sins
From Anas bin Malik –Radi Allaahu anhu– that the Messenger of Allaah –sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam– walked passed a tree which had dry leaves and he hit that tree with his stick and the leaves began to fall, the Messenger of Allaah –sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam– said:
[ إن الحمدلله ، وسبحان الله ،
ولا إله إلا الله ، والله أكبر ]
‘Indeed al-Hamdu lillaahi, wa Subhana Allaahi, wa la illaah ila Allaah, wa Allaahu akbar, cause the sins of a slave of Allaah to fall just like the leaves of this tree are falling.’

التوحيد يكفر من الذنوب
عن أنس بن مالك رضى الله عنه :
أن رسول الله ﷺ مر بشجرة يابسة الورق فضربها بعصاه فتناثر الورق،
.فقال رسول الله ﷺ:
[ إن الحمدلله ، وسبحان الله ، ولا إله إلا الله ، والله أكبر لتساقط من ذنوب العبد
كما تساقط ورق هذه الشجرة ] ..

Masajid & Graves
Shaykh Muhammad Nasir uddeen  Albaani said:
‘The grave and the Masjid do not exist together in Islaam, like one of the senior scholars mentioned, that combining a grave and a Masjid together invalidates Ikhlaas (sincerity) of Tawheed and the worship of Allaah – Tabaraka wa Ta’ala.
The Masajid were built to establish this Ikhlaas (Sincerity), like Allaah Ta’ala said:
(وَأَنَّ الْمَسَاجِدَ لِلَّهِ فَلَا تَدْعُوا مَعَ اللَّهِ أَحَدًا)
<< And the mosques are for Allaah (Alone), so invoke not anyone along with Allaah.>> [Jinn:18]

The Door of Goodness
Shaykh ul Islaam Ibn Taymeeyah -RadhiAllaahu- said:
“شهادةُ التوحيدِ تفتح بابَ الخير، والاستغفارُ
يغلقُ بابَ الشر“.
The testification of Tawheed opens the door to goodness and Istighfaar (seeking forgiveness) from sins closes the door to evil.

State of the World
Shaykh ul Islam Ibn Taymeeya – rahimahullaah – said:
‘Indeed Allaah rectified the earth with His Messenger -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam, with His Deen, with the  command of Tawheed  and with the prohibition of corrupting the earth with committing Shirk (associating partners) with Allaah and opposing Allaah’s Messenger -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam.
Whoever reflects over the state of the world, finds that the reason and the means for every type of   rectification on the earth is the Tawheed of Allaah , His Worship and obedience to His Messenger – sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam.
All evil in the world, Fitnah,  afflictions, droughts and overpowering of the enemy as well as other matters;  then the reasons and the means of this evil are opposition to the Messenger – sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam – and calling to other than Allaah.
Whoever truly reflects upon this, also finds this matter, particularly deep down in himself whilst generally and specifically in other people.
There is no power or might except from Allaah.’

قال شيخ الإسلام ابن تيمية رحمه الله :
«فَإِنَّ الله أَصْلَحَ الأَرْضَ برَسُولِهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَدِينِهِ، وَبالأَمْرِ بالتَّوْحِيدِ، وَنَهَى عَنْ فَسَادِهَا بالشِّرْكِ بهِ ومخَالَفَةِ رَسُولِهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ؛
ومَنْ تَدَبَّرَ أَحْوَالَ العَالَمِ وَجَدَ كُلَّ صَلاحٍ في الأَرْضِ فَسَبَبُهُ تَوْحِيدُ الله وَعِبَادَتُهُ وَطَاعَةُ رَسُولِهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم؛
وَكُلَّ شَرٍّ في العَالَمِ وَفِتْنَةٍ وَبَلاءٍ وَقَحْطٍ وَتَسْليطِ عَدُوٍّ وَغيرِ ذلكَ؛
فَسَبَبُهُ مخالَفَةُ الرَّسُولِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَالدَّعوةُ إلى غيرِ الله،
وَمَنْ تَدَبَّرَ هَذَا حَقَّ التَّدَبُّرِ وجدَ هذَا الأمرَ كَذَلِكَ في خَاصَّةِ نَفْسِهِ، وَفي غَيْرِهِ عُمُومًا وَخُصُوصًا،
وَلا حَوْلَ وَلا قُوَّةَ إلا بِالله»

Shaykh Muhammad bin Ibraheem Alaa Shaykh -rahimullah – said:《Tawheed by itself maybe sufficient for the Islaam of a slave of Allaah and entry into Paradise. This is because if he mentioned the statement of Tawheed  [La ilaha illa Allaah] then died before actions become obligatory upon him, then Tawheed by itself is sufficient.
Therefore, Tawheed is not destitute to actions, but rather actions are destitute to Tawheed, in that the Tawheed should be correct.’

قال الشيخ محمد بن إبراهيم آل الشيخ -رحمه الله :
《التوحيد قد يكفي وحده في إسلام العبد ودخوله الجنة ، فإنه إذا تكلم بكلمة التوحيد ثم توفي قبل وجوب شيء من الفروع عليه كفى التوحيد وحده ، فالتوحيد ليس فقيرا إليها ، بل هي الفقيرة إليه في صحتها.
